Vacations recently have become more elaborate affairs, with ecotourism, health tourism, long stays, and other innovative types of vacations, which are both popular and have more options. In the Northeast of Japan, which is Tohoku area, there is a lot of untouched nature left.

Here are the most interactive tours which best use nature to their advantage.
With seasonal crop harvesting tours, you can sample the tastes of the season, soak up the scenery, and experience a true passion for nature.
Focusing mainly on the southern prefectures of the Northeast – Miyagi, Iwate, and Yamagata – this program introduces these regions from the perspective of visiting foreigners.

We’ll also show viewers the Japanese idea of “sweet” – introducing the Japanese sweets made delicious through their local ingredients.

① Cream Daifuku “Kikufuku”… From long-established tea shop, Igeta Tea in Sendai, Miyagi
・This delicious treat is made by wrapping up matcha powdered green tea cream, made from the highest quality matcha, and sweet azuki red bean paste in a soft layer of mocha rice cake.

② “The flying dango, skewered rice cake” … “Kakkou Dango” in the Genbikei gorge of Ichinoseki, Iwate Prefecture.
・This is sold across the Genbikei gorge, which tourists pay for and get this dango using a basket crossed on a thin rope, which is known as the “flying dango.”

All ingredients are domestically grown, coming from farms all over the country, and each dango is hand-made in the factory.
